Welfare Support Workers Reequired
*** Full time - Part time - Casual*** Positions
Welfare Support Workers are vital carers for vulnerable individuals and their families. The role provides practical support, information, financial/budgeting support, accessing community services, attending medical appointments, independent living, coordinating housing and social welfare services and therapies.
Qualifications Level 2 and/or work experience:

QAF Associate degree, Advanced Diploma of Diploma.

If you don’t have the above qualification, but have at least 2 years relevant work experience in a related skilled occupation or related field.

Meet any industry registration and/or licensing requirements.
Responsibilities:
-
Helping with household tasks.
-
Providing personal care support.
-
Administering medication.
-
Helping clients learn new skills.
-
Supporting clients to start employment.
-
Doing grocery shopping and preparing meals.
-
Working with doctors and therapists to ensure support.
-
Demonstrating and supporting new life skills, such as budgeting.
-
Adjusting and adapting communication and body language to suit client needs.
-
Supporting clients to develop new hobbies and interests.
-
Transporting and accompanying clients to appointments.

Other requirements:
-
Hold a current, unrestricted driver’s licence. May prefer you to hold specific licence types and/or have access to a vehicle.

Ensure you have up-to-date immunisations as required, and complete certifications and checks such as a First Aid Certificate, Police Check. Working with Children Card (WA)- if applicable and/or NDIS Worker Screening Check.

Wearing of a mask when working with participants.

Pay:
Starting salary $79,423 per annum (full time)
​
Grace Remote Support Services (GRSS) provides person-centred support to people with disability in accordance with participant support plans, goals, preferences and assessed needs. Under the EK DAMA, both Visa 482 or 494 options will be made available to the candidate after the probation period.
